Fairies, Basketball and Coloring

This is Anna and her friend Caeley. They were fairies for the day.

After they dressed up they sat down to color.

They closed the night out with a little half court basketball. No need to take the fairy gear off. It is important to look good while working up a sweat! Note, the ball seems to be attracted to both girl's heads... I can't determine if this is Ken's doing or not!

Sick Princess Anna

So Anna has been sick the past couple of days, but is on the road to recovery. Here she is all princess-ified which is a sure sign that she is feeling well. You need to note, that she has on an Aurora corwn, a pink Aurora dress, Aurora socks and Aurora shoes... Aurora is Sleeping Beauty's real name. She does have on Ariel (Little Mermaid) PJs under her dress so there is a bit of conflict with her princess theme.

Ken's best friend, Uncle Alan, bought Anna a pair of Aurora shoes to win her love when we vistited him in Florida at the beginning of February. Since then, Anna has worn them pretty much every day.. as you can tell. They are worn out and stinky! This is really a test to see if Uncle Alan is checking the blog...

She also went to the doctor's today to check her our since she was sick all weekend. They took her blood by picking her finger. Ken said that she didn't cry fromt he finger pick and didn't cry when the doctor squeezed the blood out. However, she went balistic when the put the band-aid on her finger. She doesn't like things stuck to her skin. When I got home from work today, she was laying in my bed and got teary-eyed and suck out her finger stating that she had a boo-boo and it needed to be kissed. Much drama.

First Day of School

So today was Anna's first day of preschool. She went for a half day to start, and attends the same place as her friend Caeley. We made a big deal out of it, starting off by taking Anna with her firend Caeley and Caeley's mom Lori out for breakfast. Then we dropped the girls off together.

Anna was fine once she saw the baby dolls and mini kitchen to play with and didn't even cry when I left. I picked her up 5 hours later. She stayed for lunch and nap time. Her teachers said that she ate lunch, which consisted of tuna salad sandwiches, peas and oranges... yuck to the tuna salad and peas if you ask me, and then took a nap. I arrived when she was still sleeping. We also bought her a special Areial (Little Mermaid) pillow and blankie just for school. The teachers said that when Caeley started to cry Anna would hug her and hold her hand and when Anna started to cry Caeley would do the same.

On the way home, Anna told me that the blew bubbles and popped them, ate lunch and that she gave Caeley a hug when she cried and made her feel better.

So lets hope that next week is as good as this week was!

St. Patrick's Day

Hi all! We celebrated St. Patrick's Day with our friends Ryan, Lori and their daughter Caeley. This was the second year we got together. In 2007 the tradition started with making clover cookies and eating corned beef.

So here we are from last year... 2007.

And here we are this year in 2008. Sorry about the red eye, I am too lazy to go back and fix it! The girls were much more interested in eating the cookie dough and playing with the flour!

This is Anna's friend Caeley. This picture was too cute not to include. The other day we were going to vist Caeley and Anna told me that "Caeley is my best friend."
They were also quite interested in smearing flour all over their faces.

Farewells can be tough and drawn out... but so cute!

Mermaid Anna

Anna is a fish. She loves to swim, thanks to her favorite princess, Mermaid Areil from The Little Mermaid. When I first told her that she was going to take swimming lessons, she got a concerned look on her face and said "but I have no tail." I was confused as to what she meant. Then she clarified that Areil has a tail to swim. I quickly explained that Anna would use her legs to swim. So the whole time during swiming she proclaimed "I use my legs... no tail!"

I GO PEEPEE MOMMY!!!!

We are working on potty training Anna. She has it about 50% down, but only when SHE wants to do it. There is a long list of items that she gets when she goes pee pee or poo poo, including a much coveted Tinker Bell dress that she can only wear upon success, a neclace, head band, stickers, and M&Ms.

We are also working on what she needs to say when she feels like she has to go. You will hear it towards the end of the video.

So can you tell that I am new to this blogging? Of course, because there is a daily update of Anna! I am sure I will slow down with the updates once the newness wears off.

In the mean time, here are some pics of my girl that Aunt Sara took. Including some of Anna and Aunt Sara... we will skip pictures of pregnant and pudgy Mommy for now!

Fairy Anna with Glass Slippers

Sorry for the confusion here, we are mixing our princesses here... wings for Tinker Bell, purple for Barbie Rupunzel, and "glass" slippers for Cinderella. Note: neclace and bracelet accessories are purple to match the skirt and wings... Anna's doing all her own. Accessorizing is key.

Anna is going to act out the part from Cinderella where the stepmother trips the footman and the shoe that Cinderella lost on the stairs as she fled from the Prince's ball, breaks. But Cinderella has the other one in her pocket and says "I have another" to prove that she is Prince Charming's love. Yeah, we act this out about 15 times a day.

Anna loves Gus and Anna is Gus's favorite person. He will let her sit on him, squish him, pull him, and drag him around. Its like he is a dog in a cats body!

While at Disney Anna got to dance with Belle from Beauty and the Beast. Whenever she gets excited or happy with herself she givesherself a hug. Watch the ending for her to hug herself.

2008 Disney Vacation

Hello All!

We have some catching up to do since Anna is 2.5 years old. I am going to start with our most recent photos and go back over the past couple of years as I have time. Here are some pictures from our Disney vacation that we took the second week of February 2008. Anna loves all things princess and we went on a princess witch hunt to find them all. Fortunately, we located all the Disney princesses for Anna and she got to talk to them and even dance with some. They were wonderful to her and we will definately remember this for the rest of our lives.
