More Funny stuff

For Christmas Anna bought Ken the Air Hogs fighting helicopters. He loves them and him and Anna have a favorite game in which he tries to land the helicopter on various parts of her body (belly, head, foot, knee, ect.) Well he was playing with the helicopter today and "swears" he wasn't trying to land it on Anna's head... Anna confirmed the story in the video below. She was bouncing on her bouncy ball and went "way high" and colided with the helicopter. It was a serindipidous moment... sure...

Resolution of the tangled mess... Ken did it all himself! You can hear Emma-Grace cheering in the back ground of both videos.

Here is a video of Ken throwing Anna around, litterally. Ignore the baby butt crack.

Emma-Grace roughed up Anna the other day... She keeps looking at me to save her... but I didn't.

26 Months Difference

Here are two pictures of Anna from December 2006 and February 2009... they grow so fast!

Funny Stuff

Just some videos of the girls. Here is Emma-Grace and Anna being loud at the diner table. As you can tell, Anna didn't want to eat.

We have a lot of drama at the house. Here is Anna saying what she "neber. neber, neber" (aka never, never, never) wants to do.

Emma-Grace is catching on to the food thing. She is relentless when we have food around and dives for it. She also likes to drink out of a straw. Here we are feeding her.

I think Emma-Grace looks like a garden gnome in this outfit! But (and I may be bias) I am pretty sure they don't come any cuter than this!

Emma-Grace and Gus have been living in parallel worlds, and today they colided. Sorry the pictures are a little fuzzy.

Kalahari Resort!

We spent the weekend at the Kalahari Resort... what a GREAT time! We absolutely loved it and can't recommend it enough. Me and Ken's short term goal is to ditch the kids and go there one night so we can go crazy on all the water slides and not have to swap watching the kids. Regardless, we had a lot of fun. We went with our friends April, Dean and their 8 year old son Tyler. Here are a few fun shots of our trip.

The resort had the largest indoor play area I have ever seen. It was a little nerve racking at times because Anna would disappear in it for like 20 minutes and we wouldn't be able to find her. We implemented several recon missions, including sending Tyler in. It was extra nerve racking when he would go in and then come back out reporting that he couldn't find her! In this video I am running around with her. She is all girl.

Beautiful water mermaid Anna...

She has got such a cute, tiny tushie!

The resort had an indoor surfing thing. As part of th package we got, Ken and I got an hour lesson. We opted to learn to body surf. You can stand up and surf. Ken tried it, but I guess it was pretty tough. Only one of the teachers could stand up surf. But, there were plenty of tricks that we learned body surfing. It was awesome and probably the best part of the trip. The surfing apparatus ramp is acutally a cushioned tarp and not hard. So falling on your belly to get started and then inevitably wiping doen't hurt too much. At least, it didn't hurt too much at the time. We were both sore for quite a few days after and I have several mysterious bruises on my body that I don't recall noticing happening... but it must have been during the surfing.

This is Ken's first try. Pretty good. He gets a little cocky real fast!

While I think that Ken and I did great for our first time body surfing, Ken pulled off the impossible. I definately think that he should become a surfer-bum. In this video, one of the teachers is directing Ken to push the board out, then Ken "surf" on his body as the water pushes the board back to him and he catches it. He does this a few times succesfully. The teacher then instructs him to push the board out, do a barrel roll and then catch the board. At one point, Ken looses the board but magically regains control and continues to"surf" on his belly. You can hear the teacher panic as he runs for another board and sends it out to Ken. Ken catches the new board. But apparently, the new board is not "the good one" so Ken has to send back the not-good-board as the teacher sends out the "good" board and Ken catches it. Amazing. Not every husband can do this!

We did get video of me surfing, and I don't have issues wtih me in a bathing suit, but the physics of women's bathing suits and rushing water don't work out. Knowing that some people at work look at this, it is best if video of Olivia is not posted... I already gave our friend recording us a peep show while surfing, I don't need to share it with the rest of the world!

A New Friend

Emma-Grace made a new friend last night. It was so sweet... she was totally in to her new friend and they played for quite a while... long enough for me to take 94 pictures. When Ken let her play with her new friend again later in the evening, she cried when he broke up their play time... So here are a bunch of pictures of pretty much the same thing, because I am convinced everyone else in this world loves to look at my kids as much as I do...

Kissy-kissy

When I first saw Emma-Grace and her amazingly round head, I thought to myself, "wow, if I couldn't push Anna out, there was no way I was going to push out that baby with the two pound melon on her shoulders. I sure am glad I had a C-section"... Emma-Grace has continued to get rounder in all aspects. She is also perpetually drooling... so she is always round and wet. But we love her anyway! Here is a picture of her roundness and wetness. It is all drool induced wetness.

Attack of the monster baby!

Snack Time

We gave Emma-Grace her first bagel today... she loved it, as you can see in the video below. Her bagel snack was right in between meals... so she shouldn't have been too hungry!

Daddy's Belly...

Last night, Anna and I were looking at her baby book. She saw this picture of me and Ken at our shower and she asked what was in my belly... I told her it was her. She then asked the following question...

I must clarify that this is not Ken's natural profile... he is seriously pushing his belly out. NOTE, THIS IS NOT HIS NORMAL PROFILE... Sorry Ken! This was too funny not to post! To make up for it, I will clean the kitty litter for the next month (starting when you get back!)

Two Front Teeth and An Outfit

Just starting off with a beautiful picture of my baby girl!
To my surprise, Emma-Grace got her two front teeth at precisely 12:00 today. I say precisely because yesterday, she didn't have any, this morning she didn't have any and then BAM!! There they were. Here are some pics... (for camera people - I got the extreme close up pics using the macro function on my camera. It allows you to view and shoot what you are looking at, at full scale... so you need to get right up to the subject.)
Since Daddy isn't here to experience this, here are some shots of her two front teeth.
It is really funny/ lucky because this took me by total surprise! Emma-Grace never got a fever, whinned, cried or fussed normally associated with teething... again, I am not sure what I did to get such great kids, but PRAISE GOD!!!!! Seriously!
On a side note, the outfit Emma-Grace is wearing was the first outfit that Ken bought Anna... we didn't know if we were getting a boy or girl until she popped out with Anna. Emma-Grace is wearing it at 6 months...
And here is Anna wearing it at ONE YEAR! ( look at how young and cute Ken looks!)
Here are some more pictures of Anna at 6 months... so much hair! At the time I must have thought her hairdo was cute, but now, looking back... not so much...
