Drama, Sleepwalking, Hair, Heels, and a Ferocious Monster

Anna decided that she would rather eat Easter candy for lunch then healthy food. Here she is in her drama pose. If I have time, I will upload the video of her "never, ever" wanting to eat healthy food.

Anna has a cold and Ken's parents came down on Saturday, which means, Anna didn't get the nap that she should have, especially being sick. When she is extra tired, she doesn't sleep well at night. So last night, we put her to bed and then about two hours later hear her talking. Ken goes in her room and finds her standing on the floor at the head of her bed. He asked her if she fell out and she said no, then walked to the foot of her bed, where the stool is, climbed up on the stool, and partially back in bed at which point she promptly fell back asleep, half in and half out of bed. It was so funny. So we took a few pictures, laughed the whole time, then tucked her safely in between us for the rest of the night. And, yes, she is wearing a princess dress... she asked me if she could and I couldn't say no.

Keep in mind, she is totally sawing logs here....

And of course, here is Emma-Grace sleeping away less than three feet away from all of our hoopla.

So then, this morning when we were getting ready, I asked Anna how she wanted me to do her hair... Tinkerbell (bun), Cinderella (braids), Aurora (long), Belle (half ponytail), or Jasmine (one pony with multiple rubber bands). She tells me Cinderella, but "like this" and points to Cinderella on the shirt she is wearing. Cinderella's hair looks like this on her shirt:

Hmmm.... OK. This is a new one. But being the superbly awesome mommy that I am, I figured it out with a rubber bands and a lot of clips. Here is my artwork:

Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between Anna and Cinderella all day today.

Ken is working in our crawl space and it is a nice, clean non-spidery crawl space. Anna likes to go in it with him. It is tall enough that she can stand up in it. But the rule is, is that she has to wear shoes. So Ken told her to get her shoes on, and she did... she put on her high-heels...

And finally, to wrap things up. Emma-Grace has turned into a ferocious monster this weekend.

Favorite Toy

Emma-Grace loves this ball. I recall that Anna liked these too.

Second Child Changes

You always hear about how parents become more relaxed with the second and subsequent children... and I know that we have. It became quite apparent to me when I realized I have an assortment of videos of us bouncing things off Emma-Grace's head... we also have rules of what we can and can not bounce of her head... poor girl!

The Art of Eating an Ice Cream Cone

Anna likes ice cream cones much better than the ice cream, so she has become skilled at eating the cone and not the ice cream... it does get a little messy.

This is for Meghan

Here is Anna reenacting the metamorphosis of a caterpillar/butterfly. I am not sure how she learned this, but it is what I came home from work to last week.

Cutest Baby EVER!

That is all I have to say!

Actually, I have more to say. Anna stayed at Nana and Papa's house for two nights and had a great time. However, Emma-Grace and I were a little bored at first... I mean, our 90 mile an hour entertainment was gone! But we managed to get lots of lovin' (and pictures) in!

Cool Chicks!

BIG BABY!!!

Burning Energy Before Bed Time

This is us burning off some of Anna's (and Ken's) energy before bed time. It went on much longer than the video, but I had to stop taping otherwise it would have been too large to upload on the blog.

If it is food, Emma-Grace eats it, despite only having two teeth. She gets quite mad at us when we eat dinner and she doesn't have anything to eat too, even though we feed her dinner right before we eat. There always seems to be more room... which explains her hugeness - see the naked baby picture a few entries below. Another thing about Emma-Grace's largeness - the biggest diaper that Anna wore was a size 4, which was right around when she was 2.5 years old, the point in which she was potty trained... Emma-Grace just officially etnered size 4 diapers at 8 months old. Which is great that she is growing so well, but you get more smaller diapers than larger diapers for the same price! Plus, I just bought two value boxes of size three diapers, unpacked them and tossed the boxes... so now I have about 200 size three diapers that don't fit her and no way to return them... so our friends who are due in a few days are getting an extra big baby gift. They might not appreciate it right away, but after the first few days and going through 10 diapers a day, I am sure they well!

The girls!

Uncle Mike took this picture of Anna at Great Grandpa's birthday party. I love it!

Naked baby with a squishy tushie! Look at those rolls and wrinkles! Not me, the baby! We visited our firends who just had a baby Connor. Emma-Grace loved him.

He didn't feel the same way about her!

We didn't buy them matching outfits on purpose, that was serindipidous, but we did dress them in them on the same day on purpose.

And the big sisters had some princess time.

Night Prep

Ok, this had to load over night because it is near the max capacity for video. But here is Anna laying out her clothes for the next day. She is very percise. In fact, she goes back to property re-do part of it. Then she gives me a demonstration of what her shoes do. This takes a while, but most of the morning drama is resolved by planning the night before. Not all, but most.

Enjoy!

Lots of Stuff!

It has been a while since I updated, so here we go...

Princess Emma-Grace, just about the cutest baby EVER! Especially since she got her front two teeth at 5 months and hasn't gotten any more since. But it doesn't slow her eating down at all.
She loves to Swing. She cracks up the entire time.

hmmm.... you've got something right here...

So every night Anna gets out here clothes for the next day, and she lays everything perfectly out as it goes on. Here we have a shirt, skirt, pants, panties, shoes, and those are her socks under her shoes... It is kind of freaky, like a pancake person laying on the floor usually in the exact center of her room. Prime location for mommy and daddy to think they are stepping on her for the middle of the nights runs to sooth Emma-Grace.

This time her panties are under her pants and skirt, because that is how she wears them.

Anna finger painting wearing a sparkly dress and glitter tights and sparkle shoes, of course.

Anna and Caeley are in a sports class... They love it. For as girly as Anna is, she has been really good at all the sports. So far they learned Lacrosse, T-Ball, Soccer and badminton...
