We took the girls camping this weekend (and stayed in a tent!). We were a little nervous, but the girls were awesome and we had a great time! We stayed at the Oscoda KOA, which is like a family fun land. It was great. Here are some of our pictures of the weekend. We went with our friends the Piske's. They have an 8 year old son Tyler (pronounced Ty-wer by Anna), and they played all weekend. Ken, Dean and Tyler went 4 wheeling two days, and now we have short term plans to acquire a 4 wheeler as well. This would also involve purchasing a trailer and truck to tow the 4 wheeler, and potentially a second 4 Wheeler for me... because why should Ken have all the fun? Then we would need to build a roll cage trailer for the girls for one of us to pull behind... This is getting very involved!
We played at the beach along Lake Huron. It was freezing and the waves were huge, but Anna loved it and eventually we just went numb. Anna is a total fish. I don't get it, she freaks out when water gets in her face in the bath, but is totally thrilled when a 3' wave topples her over... go figure!
Of course we buried her in the sand...
Time to warm up!
Emma-Grace and Dean relaxing at the camp site!
Dinner time. Emma-Grace just went straight to adult food. Forget baby food and wasting time cutting up food, just give her a burger!
The campsite baby corral
The campsite had a candy hunt at night for the kids. This was a huge hit with Anna.

The campsite also had a fire truck ride through the park that Ken (yellow shirt) and Anna (blue dress) went on. It was LOUD!
The big hit of the weekend was this 20'X50' jumping pillow at the campsite. It started off with me and Anna jumping early in the morning on Friday when the boys were 4-wheeling.

Anna loved the s'mores... but here is our first conversation between me and Anna... Me: Anna do you want to make a s'more? Anna: Some more what? Me (laughing): A s'more. Anna: Mommy, I said some more what. Me (again laughing): A s'more. This continued to our amusement for a few more minutes, and then I explained the mechanics of a s'more.

Later that evening, we took the kids back and me, Anna and Tyler were going to jump since Anna and I had already paid, and Tyler, being a kid needed to jump too... Well within about 5 minutes of watching the kids, all the adults had purchased the bracelets needed to jump and craziness followed. Look at how high Ken gets in these pictures (he is in the red shirt). The best part was bouncing around someone when they fell because they can't get back up. There were a lot of competitions to bounce each other off the pillow. Of course, Anne and Tyler got bounced off as well, but there was the soft landing of sand all around the pillow...
